Cosmos 1783 was a Soviet missile early warning satellite launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome aboard a Molniya rocket. It was part of the Oko constellation of satellites but was luanched in an unusable orbit. It was intended to cover the plane 1 - 272 degree longitude of ascending node.
