GOSAT-GW (The Global Observing SATellite for Greenhouse gases and Water cycle) is a Japanese Earth observation satellite that is a collaboration between the Japanese Ministry of Environment (MOE), National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) and the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The mission, will aid in the understanding of the rate of climate change by monitoring greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, as well as improve our understanding of the water cycle which is essential for Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP).
