Antares rocket's first launch aborted when supply line drops off early

Antares rocket's first launch aborted when supply line drops off early Orbital Sciences Corp. called off the maiden launch of its Antares rocket on Wednesday when an umbilical line dropped off prematurely from the launch vehicle's second stage. The launch abort came at about 4:48 p.m. ET, just minutes before the Antares was due to lift off from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport on Wallops Island, Va. The most likely scenario would see the 5 p.m. ET test launch rescheduled for Friday or later.    More
