Discovery Cleared for Entry


At 3:02 p.m. EDT, Capcom Al Drew informed space shuttle Discovery Commander Mark Kelly that the Mission Management Team has cleared the shuttle for entry. Saturday's deorbit burn is planned for 10:10 a.m. EDT, followed by landing at 11:15 a.m. MMT chairman LeRoy Cain and STS-124 entry flight director Richard Jones will brief media on deorbit and entry plans during a Mission Status Briefing today at 3:30 p.m.    More
