GOES-14 weather satellite accepted into service & 3rd weather satellite on the way

The El Segundo, California-built Boeing weather satellite, GOES-14 was accepted into service by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA after completing on-orbit testing. NOAA will use GOES-14, which was launched on June 27th, to predict storms and monitor weather conditions across an estimated 60 percent of the planet, including the United States. More
