Iran to launch 4 satellites into space soon Iran plans to launch four new satellites with domestically-designed carriers into the space in the near future, the deputy director of Iranian Space Agency (ISA) says. “The launching of satellites such as Sharif Sat, Zafar (Triumph), Tolou (Sunrise) and Pars with powerful locally-designed carriers in the near future is on the agenda,” said Hamid Fazeli on Sunday. Zafar is a monitoring satellite, which will be sent into a geostationary orbit that is a circular orbit around 36,000 kilometers (22,320 miles) above the Earth's equator.   More
