NOAA looks to update weather satellite and ground systems

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is soliciting proposals for research and development on microwave weather sensors, ground systems and technology to reduce interference from 5G networks. Three Broad Agency Announcements released April 13 reveal some of the National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) priorities as the agency prepares to update its weather and climate-monitoring constellations.
