No signal yet heard from tether-deploying satellite

A tiny, experimental satellite [MAST] designed to deploy a long, thin tether in space has not made contact with ground controllers since it blasted into orbit on 17 April. But mission managers are optimistic that it will still be able to deploy the tether as planned. More
