North Korea claims satellite is transmitting images

North Korea has claimed that its recently launched satellite, the Kwangmyongsong-4, is able to transmit data and images back to ground control facilities in the country. The claim was made in an article written by Kim Chol Min, a researcher at North Korea’s Institute for Disarmament and Peace, published by NK News on Wednesday. “Now the satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 (KMS-4), which is following the polar orbit as planned, has transmitted the pictures taken as directed from the ground control and conducted the transmission of digital information between the relay stations on the ground,” Kim wrote.
