Vancouver software engineer's shoebox-sized satellite to join UFO hunt

A team of UFO hunters, including a Vancouver software engineer, is on a high-tech mission to find out whether we’re alone in the universe. Dave Cote, a Simon Fraser University alumnus, is project manager and software engineer for “CubeSat for Disclosure,” which involves sending a CubeSat — a small, private satellite — into low-earth orbit. The seven-person team plans to use the CubeSat to search for “any sign of a real UFO or any space anomaly,” according to the project’s Kickstarter campaign page. More
